1. Who we are
Hixit is operated by HIX IT LTD (Companies House number 13491634), a company registered in England and Wales, based in Pershore, Worcestershire. In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “Hixit” mean HIX IT LTD.

2. What Hixit is (and is not)
Hixit is a marketplace facilitation platform. Homeowners can post jobs; local trades can browse and express interest; homeowners may accept or decline interest. After an accept, limited contact details may be shared so the parties can talk directly.
- We do not employ tradespeople.
- We do not set rates, prices, or quotes.
- We do not guarantee that work will be found, accepted, completed, or paid for.
- We are not a party to any contract between a homeowner and a trade. Any agreement for work is between those users.
3. Using the service
By creating an account or using Hixit you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Notice. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract under the laws of England and Wales.
Soft-launch features may include: posting jobs, uploading photos, expressing interest, accepting or declining interest, profiles, and limited admin tools for platform safety.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information on your account, profile, and job posts.
- Keep phone numbers, full street addresses, and payment details off public listings where the product asks you not to share them.
- Treat other users respectfully and lawfully. Do not harass, scam, or mislead.
- If you are a trade, hold any licences, insurance, and qualifications required for the work you offer. Hixit does not verify these for you unless we expressly say otherwise.
- Agree your own terms, price, timing, and safety arrangements directly with the other party after an introduction.
- Keep your login secure and tell us promptly if you think your account is compromised.
5. Prohibited use
You must not:
- Use Hixit for illegal activity, fraud, or to request or offer work you are not entitled to do.
- Upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, or photos of people without a lawful basis to do so.
- Attempt to bypass security, scrape the service aggressively, spam users, or reverse-engineer the platform beyond what the law allows.
- Impersonate others or create accounts for deceptive purposes.
- Use the platform in a way that harms Hixit, other users, or third parties.
We may suspend or remove accounts or content where we reasonably believe these rules are broken, or where needed for safety or legal compliance. Job listings (including photos) may be screened automatically before publication, including by a third-party safety provider when enabled; held items may be reviewed by a human. 6. Intellectual property
Hixit branding, site design, and our software remain owned by HIX IT LTD or our licensors. You keep ownership of content you upload (for example job text and photos). You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process that content as needed to run the marketplace and related support.
7. Liability
Hixit provides the platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis during soft launch. We take reasonable care, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: disputes between users; quality, safety, or legality of work; unpaid invoices; loss of profits; or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or introductions made through it.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or rights you may have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related consumer law. If you use Hixit as a consumer, those rights still apply.
8. Changes and soft launch
Features may change during soft launch. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms, except where the law requires more.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK.
