Describe the work
Title, category, town, optional urgency, budget band, and access notes.
Add photos (optional)
Clear photos of the issue help trades decide - JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to a few images.
Review interest
Trades can express interest. Accept or decline each one from your job page.
Talk directly
After you accept, limited contact details may be shared so you can arrange the work yourselves.

Filter by category or town on the jobs board. Only open, moderated listings show publicly.
Express interest
Send a short note on jobs that fit. Soft-launch daily limits apply to keep spam down.
Wait for accept or decline
The homeowner decides. Track what you have sent under My interests.
Arrange the work off-platform
After an accept, contact the homeowner directly. Hixit does not set rates or manage the job.
Facilitation only
Hixit facilitates introductions between homeowners and local trades. We do not employ tradespeople, set rates, or guarantee work. After introductions, homeowners and trades agree terms, timing, and payment themselves.
Hixit does not vet, verify credentials, rank, or recommend trades. We do not guarantee work quality, completion, or payment.
Consumer cancellation rights (for example a 14-day notice period for some home visits) may apply between you and the trade under UK consumer law. Hixit is not the trader and is not a party to that contract - check with the trade and, if needed, advice services.
Photos
Job photos help trades understand the work before expressing interest. Upload clear, relevant images only - no unrelated people, no illegal or harmful content. Owners can delete photos from open jobs; admins can remove them when moderating.
Accept or decline
Interest starts as pending. Homeowners accept or decline from the job page. Declining is quiet and final for that interest; accepting may reveal limited contact details if the trade opted in. Mark a job filled or cancelled when you are done so it leaves the open board.
Safety and report
Meet safely, verify identity and credentials yourself, and never share payment details you are not comfortable with. If a listing or profile looks wrong, use the Report control on the job or profile - our team reviews soft-launch reports. For urgent harm, contact the police or other emergency services; Hixit is not an emergency service.
